Save the Date!!

On Sept 23, Archbishop Irenee will be blessing our newly renovated church. Everyone is invited to come and share in our joy!

Join us for our grand opening – Official invites to clergy, friends, and family will go out soon. Plans include Friday night Vespers at 5:30pm with a parish dinner with Archbishop Irenee afterwards, then a Saturday feast for guests and the greater community after Archbishop Irenee’s 9am – 12pm blessing on Saturday morning.

Many other clergy members will be coming for the big occasion, including Fr. Larry, Fr. Gregory from the Bonners Ferry, and clergy from as far away as Calgary and Edmonton.

Reno update:

We needed some new icons for our iconostasis so Fr. Larry has painted the Communion of the Apostles for us, Fr. Moses is painting the two circles above the Bishop’s chair, and Uncut Mountain Supply is sending icons of Mat. Olga and St. Peter the Aleut to match Fr. Vladimir’s icons, which will fill the empty spots on either end of the iconostasis. A huge thank you to these friends for their blessed work!

Painters and electricians are just finishing up, then icons will be hung. Bricks are being laid in the courtyard, stairs are being finished, and eavestroughs are being installed. If all goes well, we will be holding our first services in the ‘new’ church on the weekend of Sept. 17th – all are welcome!
