Lenten Presanctified Liturgy

Wednesdays at 6:00pm we have our Lenten Presanctified Liturgy service. As it is a communion service, those coming to receive should be fasting. We follow a “nothing after noon” practice, small amounts of water are fine.

We will generally have a Presanctified Liturgy every Wednesday during Lent going forward, do be sure to plan to come as you are able, they are a very core part of our Lenten journey! If you can stay after the service we have a Lenten soup potluck supper starting around 7:30. Consider bringing soup or bread to a Presanctified if you can but do take in as many services as you can even if you don’t stay for the soup supper.

One of the most beautiful services in the Orthodox Church, the Presanctified Liturgy is only served during Great Lent. During the week in Great Lent, no Divine Liturgies are served and so this very special gift is given to us.
