Registration has opened for the May 15 – 18 2026 Saskatchewan Pan-Orthodox Youth Retreat.

This year the speaker will be Fr. Yuri Hladio. In his sessions, they will explore the Divine Liturgy as a living story and discover how its words, movements, and rhythms echo through Scripture and into their everyday lives. By paying attention to ordinary rituals—meals, habits, beginnings, endings—they’ll see how they connect to the Church’s worship. Together, they’ll learn how to recognize their own stories as places where God’s life is already unfolding.​

This retreat has been bringing together over 80 youth from across BC, AB, SK and MB. As a result of the success of the Saskatchewan retreats, a group in Calgary have now started a youth retreat in Alberta in the fall on the youth’s request. Additionally a young adult retreat has also begun and will be in its 3rd year this May to give further opportunity for the young adults to grow and connect as they age out of the youth retreats. These youth and young adults are the future of our parishes and it is integral that their home parishes support and encourage them. It is exciting to see the youth becoming engaged in their faith and bringing this back to their homes.
