Training Day, February 7

We have more and more people interested in helping with Serving and Reading in the Church. Glory to God! To this end, we are going to take a bit of time to orient people to these duties and do some teaching in February.

We will split into morning and afternoon sessions, joined by a lunch together downstairs.

On Saturday, February 7:

Morning (9:30-11:30) – Those men who are currently Serving in the Altar, or are interested in Serving someday, are welcome to attend. Mature youths are also welcome.

Lunch – more to follow on this, but it will be something easy (probably sandwiches). No cost and not potluck (unless you have a burning desire to bring something). We’re trying to keep the clean up to a minimum.

Afternoon (1:00-3:00) – Any adults or mature youths interested in how to Read in Church, or to improve your Reading voice, are welcome to attend.

Of course, our approach to such service in the Church should not be casual, however, these sessions are informal. We will not be serving actual services, but going over how to do the services well.

Come ready to participate! This will not be a spectator sport!

If you are interested, please reply (or not reply all) and we’ll calculate the coffee and food needs.

Also, that Saturday will also be a Family Vespers day, at 4pm, followed by pizza and boardgames.

May it be blessed!
