Holy Week and Paschal Services for St. Aidan’s – 2023

Tonight, Saturday April 8 – 5:30pm – 6:30pm – Great Vespers, at the Hall

Tomorrow, Sunday April 9 – 10:30am (followed by Lenten potluck) Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem – Palm Sunday St. John Chrysostom Liturgy (approx. 2 hrs.) – at the Hall; 120 7th Ave. S. ½ block down the street and across the street from the church.

On these two days (Lazarus Saturday and Palm Sunday) between Lent and Holy Week we celebrate with Christ! Even the rocks and trees are giving praise! As we come and enter into Kairos (eternal) time in this Palm Sunday Liturgy we are waving our Palms and willows and singing “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

Then, that night (Sunday April 9), at the start of Holy Week we begin to follow Christ to His voluntary death on the cross for the life of the world with Bridegroom Matins from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Christchurch Anglican 46 13 Ave. S (old yellow church just up from Safeway corner of 1st and 13 Ave. S).

Services Mon – Th will continue at Christchurch Anglican, then switch back to the Hall for Friday thru Sunday. Thank you for your patience during this time of celebration as we are not able to use our own church building due to the Elevator Additon renovations.
