Prophet-King David

We have four people celebrating their Names Day today – all of them for the Holy Prophet-King David.

King David is the David from the David and Goliath story, the one who built Jerusalem and who wrote 75 of the 150 Psalms in the Book of Psalms. The one who is an example of great repentance, who humbly and with faith bore the sorrows of his sins. (oca.org)
