Special guest this Sunday
This Sunday at 10:30am will be our first service in our temporary new location across the street and ½ block down from the church. We are having a very special guest this Sunday, Fr. Dn. Andree and his Matushka. They will be bringing the vestment belt of St. John the wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco for us to venerate!
They are making this trip from their home parish of St. Barbara’s in Edmonton to try to raise some funds for the Holy Hills Monastery (Sviatohirsk Caves Monastery) in the Donbas region of Ukraine which is presently housing hundreds of those fleeing the war. It is a famous Orthodox monastery, very close to where St. John himself grew up and spent time there in his youth. Unfortunately, it has been recently bombed by the Russians and is in desperate need of financial help to be able to continue to look after those who have fled into the monastery for protection. Please consider bringing a donation to help support the monastery in honor of St. John.
